Privacy Policy

We collect as little as we can, we keep it only as long as we need it, and we do not sell it.

Who we are

What we collect

Enquiry details. When you use the contact form we collect the name, email address, company, telephone number and message you choose to give us. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user-agent string, which we use only to detect spam and abuse.

Staff accounts. If you hold an account on this site (for example as an editor), we store your name, email address and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.

Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request logs for security and availability purposes.

What we do not do

  • We do not run advertising or third-party tracking pixels.
  • We do not sell, rent or trade personal information.
  • We do not add you to a mailing list because you contacted us.

Cookies

The public pages of this site set no cookies at all. A single session cookie is set only when a staff member signs in to the content management system; it is required to keep them signed in and expires after 30 days of inactivity.

Why we are allowed to process your data

When you send an enquiry, we process your details on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to a business request, and — where you have ticked the consent box — on the basis of that consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for two years from the last contact, so that we can pick up a conversation where it left off, and then deleted. Staff accounts are kept while the account is active.

Who else sees it

We use a small number of service providers to run this site: a hosting provider, a transactional email provider for delivering enquiry notifications, and (where configured) a media storage provider. They process data on our instructions only.

Your rights

You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EU or UK you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
